Tampilan Iklan Televisi Menurut Perspektif Etika Kekristenan

ABSTRAK
Periklanan terus mendapat perhatian dari banyak kalangan masyarakat karena memiliki dampak yang luas utamanya iklan televisi, yang punya daya jangkau paling besar. Sejalan dengan itu, perancang komunikasi visual memiliki tanggung jawab besar untuk melahirkan karya iklan yang kreatif juga bertanggung jawab. Maka kekristenan sebagai institusi sosial dan keagamaan, terlibat secara langsung atau tidak langsung terhadap dunia periklanan. Terhadap karya iklan kekristenan memiliki pandangan yang khas berdasarkan etika yang berlaku pada komunitas Kristiani yang disebut etika kekristenan.

Kata kunci: periklanan, etika kekristenan.

ABSTRACT
Advertising has kept attention from many social circles because of its wide impact, especially in tv commercials, that have the most audience. At the same time, the visual communication designer has a great responsibility to generate creative ads that are responsible as well. Christianity as a social and religious institution, is therefore directly and indirectly involved in the advertising world. Christianity possesses a particular view based on the ethics that is pertinent to Christian community, called Christian ethics.

“Desa Informasi” or “Information Village” is the name adopted for the Local eContent (digital information resources with local flavor) development project being carried out in Petra Christian University Library.

“Desa Informasi” can also play an important role in preserving (at least) digitally local historical and cultural heritage, thus preserving the collective memory of a local society.

All Local eContent collections are available for everyone through the Internet for free. Some Local eContent collections are currently available in “Desa Informasi,” such as Surabaya Memory, Digital Theses, eDIMENSI, Petra@rt Gallery, Petra iPoster, and Petra Chronicle.
