Aljira Emerge 6 | 2006

Invitation and Catalog Cover for Art Exhibition
Client: Aljira, a Center for Contemporary Art
Invitation: 8.5 x 5.5 inch; Cover: 8 x 8 inch.
Two color (Cyan and Black)

On Locations was the theme the curator gave us for this exhibition. We have limited budget on this project so I only use two color of black and cyan for all materials. I shot a picture of the gallery space and automatically my layout follows the angle of wall line in the picture. The inside catalog layout and text grid also follows this concept.

Obyektive:
Kesalahan pendekatan banyak desainer terhadap desain katalog pameran adalah bahwa desain katalog tersebut tidak boleh menyaingi karya yang dipamerkan. Kami berpikir sebaliknya—bagaimana jika katalog yang menjadi cermin dari kurasi pameran. Dengan menciptakan permainan huruf P-O-L-A-N-D dan menatanya menjadi wajah desainer, kami menciptakan sebuah citraan segar mengenai pameran poster Poland yang kuat dan khas.
