XXX: The Power of Sex in Contemporary Design

XXX: The Power of Sex in Contemporary Design

XXX is a book on how graphic designers incorporate the idea of sex and sexuality into their work in order to get attention from their viewers. The methods and goals for this kind of work vary greatly over the field of graphic design — from fashion to advertising to event promotion. Sex is everywhere, and it functions in many ways and to many different ends. This book explores the many systems of visual communication that sex brings to graphic design, from gender to humor, from romance to the sex act — each of these categories is fleshed out with images from today’s leading designers from around the world.

Featuring work from six continents, including pieces by Art Chantry, Rebeca Méndez, Moshino’s Girl Studio, Hysteric Glamour, Marcus Kiersztan, Stefan Sagmeister, Tibor Kalman, Frank Kozik, Why Not Associates, and many more.

Forward by Dan Savage.
